Simple and bold
is our focus.

What you put in your home is a statement of who you are. Our interests lie in creating pieces that are not only functional and stylish but also stand as testaments to the inherent beauty of the natural world. We source our sustainable materials responsibly and take pride in the meticulous craftsmanship that goes into each piece. We use traditional joinery executed both by hand and machine. Furniture designed to elevate your space for years to come, while leaving a minimal footprint on the environment.

Function isn’t
in our name.

It’s where everything starts. Each piece, crafted with meticulous care, is designed to not only enhance the aesthetic of a space but also serve its purpose. From sturdy joinery to ergonomic designs, handmade furniture prioritizes practicality while celebrating the beauty of natural materials and skilled craftsmanship. Each piece is a reflection of this philosophy, thoughtfully designed to enhance your everyday experience.

Why try not to
branch out to far.

Yes, the pun is horrible but it’s true. As you’ll see by our work, wood is our primary source of construction. We rely mainly on North American hardwoods that come from forests and mills that are local to our factory.

Embracing the unique character and color is an integral part of our design process. Materials are the stars of our designs. We keep things simple so you can see the beauty of each piece.

For us, it’s how we start,
and how we finish.

Wood responds to its environment much like a living organism. The way we finish it significantly influences its interaction with the world around it.

We embrace natural finishes, eschewing sprays in favor of hand-rubbed oils. For most of our woods, we opt for a premium plant-based oil finish that preserves the raw beauty of the wood. This hand-applied finish not only repels water but also allows the wood to age gracefully, developing a unique patina over time. Our finishes comply with the product safety standards established by the FDA: “safe for food contact surfaces” (FDA 21, Sec 175.300). Beeswax and natural varnish resin are FDA approved as non-allergic and non-hazardous.

For stained woods, we utilize a hard wax finish that protects the wood while enhancing its natural grain and tactile qualities.
